Tsunami Dolls Relief Project
I needed a way to work through my shock and pain at this devastation. As a creator without much money, this project gave me a way I could contribute and learn and grow and spread healing.....
It also gave me a way to talk about it, a language that held more than loss or victimization or fear....

Please join us to create a doll, puppet, mask, teddy, bookmark, dishcloth or something else that you enjoy making. Then, please find a way to sell it,& please donate the money to a reputable relief organization. Please post photos of your doll or wonderful creation to the photo section. Your creations may be any size & medium, as long as they are a response to the Tsunami & can become a part of the healing process. This project can help you find a way to put your love into action! I've made my first doll for this project--
Winged Healer.
Winged Healer
is a clothespin-based doll, painted with various shades of gold, wrapped and crocheted.
She is adorned with various fibers, copper, anodized aluminum, brass, glass bead and
(real) turquoise nuggets.
She is available for purchase. 100% of her proceeds will be given to Tsunami Relief.
My second Doll is a "yarn baby". Winged Mermaid has a flameworked glass bead face, wire hands, copper fin, crocheted, butterfly-shaped wings,a copper mesh "pillow" and a small shell.
